We look forward to welcoming you
The Sea Captain's House is opulent yet confined. The living quarters consist of several intimate rooms which require a bit of timing when visiting as a large group. To ensure everyone has the best possible experience and enough room to appreciate the many fine details, we divide larger groups upon arrival.
Unannounced groups cannot be guaranteed entrance, if another group is visiting at the same time.
Please read the information on this page before booking your visit. The link to the booking request can be found at the bottom of the page.
Practical information
Group visits must be booked in advance and take place during opening hours, no later than one hour before closing time. Please allow 45–60 minutes for your visit.
A group ticket costs DKK 55 per person (minimum 10 adults) and must be paid altogether on arrival or online.
We do not offer guided tours, but you are welcome to bring your own guide. On arrival, you will receive materials for a self-led tour of the museum.
How we will group you
10–20 people: Two groups – one starts in the living quarters, the other one in the barn with the whale skeleton and the special exhibition.
More than 20: One group visits Toftum School (just 150 meters from the The Sea Captain's House), while the others are divided into two smaller groups - as described with 10-20 people.
